Real Wedding: Jack and Andy
McCown-Freeman Wedding
Jack McCown and Andy Freeman tied the knot last month in Harbour Island, Bahamas at the beautiful Dunmore Beach Resort.
They were inspired by the vibrant colors and branding at The Dunmore and the pink sand beaches of Harbour Island. They wanted their entire invitation suite to capture the feel of the Dunmore and transport their guests to this tropical destination. They wanted every aspect of their invitation suite to mimic the crisp lines and fresh colors they loved at The Dunmore.
The envelope liner mimicked the blue and white stripes on the beach huts at The Dunmore. We designed a custom monogram that resembled the logo of The Dunmore. We think the simple, sleek design of the invitation perfectly matched the design of The Dunmore and Harbour Island.
Jack’s brother, Robert McCown, is an architect and he drew the beach hut on the Save the Date. The drawing featured the handsome, clean lines that perfectly reflect the simplicity of the island.
We carried out the same look and feel on all of the day-of details. Guests were welcomed to the wedding with welcome baskets that featured a custom artwork map of Harbour Island. We also created menus for the welcome dinner and the wedding reception. We used a wax seal with their monogram to adhere vellum place cards to the menu for the welcome dinner the night before the wedding. The menu for the reception was attached to a piece of fabric-wrapped wicker board with a gold grommet. We used a grasscloth-like fabric to cover the wicker board to tie in the natural fibers on the island. Jack and Andy also used custom stickers, cups, and napkins to carry out their color story.
